It's No Question Mental Health Is Important In Gymnastics

But rarely do gymnasts spend time learning about their brain and the effects of pressure.

The gymnasts I work with are told to push through, keep going, hold back their emotions, train harder, show grit, and fight through the pain. Unfortunately most of them end up with mental blocks or fear because of this. This Mental Health Training is so important because it teaches gymnasts about their brains and how they can interpret fear and pressure in a healthier way.

In This Training You'll Learn So Many Valuable Things Including:

  • How to take your pressure and turn it into something useful so it can help you instead of hurt you.

  • What you should do when your skills start to feel "off" or funky (Hint: It's not pushing through)!

  • Recognizing the stress response so you can respond to it in a helpful way and get those blocks and nerves under check.

In addition to 5 different video trainings, you'll also get:

  • A PDF to go along with each day's training.

  • A Discussion Tab where you can answer the prompts and get answers from Coach Anna personally.

What You'll Learn

  • Training 1 (9:10)

You'll learn how to identify your sources of pressure so you can be aware of what is weighing you down.

  • Training 2 (9:02)

You'll learn how to turn those pressures into something useful that can help you in your gymnastics journey.

  • Training 3 (10:11)

You'll learn how to be aware of when your skills start to feel "off" and what you can do to prevent things from getting worse.

  • Training 4 (9:02)

You'll learn how to understand the fight-flight-or-freeze response so you know when your body is going into its automatic stress response.

  • Training 5 (11:30)

You'll learn some valuable techniques you can put in your mental toolbox for when you need to shut down your stress response and handle the pressure.

I know you're a busy gymnast so I've kept this training short and to the point. As you can see above, each training is roughly 10 minutes long.

However, don't underestimate how important this training is. This training is for EVERY gymnast out there. What are you waiting for? It's time to get started.

Anna Kojac, M.Ed.

Founder of Stick It Girl & Mental Performance Coach for Gymnasts

Coach Anna is a mental toughness coach for gymnasts. As a former competitive gymnast who always let her mindset hold her back, she knows what it's like to let the mental stuff get in the way of her performances.

She's spent years studying the mind as it relates to gymnastics and is hopeful she can bring the mental toughness training she wish she had when she was a gymnast to as many gymnasts as possible.

Anna received her bachelors in psychology with a minor in dance from Emory University in 2001 and her Masters in sport & exercise psychology from the University of Virginia in 2004. She currently runs the Stick It Girl Gymnastics Blog and offers one-on-one mental coaching to gymnasts.
